She wasn’t afraid to get down and dirty on the sidewalk, colouring herself and everything in sight to express her creativity and then proudly showing off her work to anyone who walked by.   It was a gentle reminder to me that as adults we often try to multi-task our lives until we’re doing so many tasks, we can’t fully enjoy any of them, much less feel proud of our accomplishments.  Slowing down, enjoying the moment and keeping life simple - in other words, living like our children do, is perhaps one of the best gifts we can give ourselves and our chilren.
